Dear Parent / Carer,

My name is Agnieszka and I am delighted to welcome you to Sunshine Playgroup`s website. Sunshine is an independent playgroup for babies, toddlers and young children and I have had a pleasure of running it since 2002. We offer play classes with arts & crafts & music, baking, and art workshops for various age groups both with and without parents` supervision. The classes for under threes are a gentle introduction to group activities and a nursery - like environment.

With over 13 years work experience, I believe that even the most enthusiastic playgroup leader can have difficulty building a friendly and relaxed atmosphere if the group is simply too large. I am convinced that small groups work for the benefit of the children and help them feel more secure. The teacher can devote more attention to each child`s individual needs, thus creating an environment which encourages both learning and personal growth. I therefore limit our group sizes to a maximum of 8 - 10 children. Our regular classes are booked in blocks, which means that the same children meet every week and this is how they make their first friends. It is also a fantastic opportunity for their carers to chat over a cup of tea or coffee and exchange views on all sorts of issues - the most popular one being their sweethearts` development.
