The Sunshine Team

Agnieszka Siedlecka – opened Sunshine in September 2002.

AgnieszkaI studied a Masters in childcare in my home city of Gdansk, Poland, before coming to North London to be a nanny in 1999. In 2002 I decided to fulfil my dream of setting up a playgroup, and with a head full of ideas, I embarked on an interesting and challenging journey. After over nine years, I enjoy my job more than ever and I am proud that Sunshine is still shining brightly.  I strongly believe that limiting the group sizes to only eight children, combined with employing amazing teachers who, like me, genuinely love working with children, is the key to success. All of our classes have proved very popular and I hope they continue to do so and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with you and your little ones.

Susannah Brough – artist and art teacher, with Sunshine since 2008.

I am a professional, local artist with over ten years’ experience
painting murals, both private and commercial, including children’s
rooms and schools. I also produce my own range of  bespoke
hand-painted children’s furniture. I run creative workshops for local schools in West Hampstead and have done similar workshops in my home town of Oxford and as far afield as India! Over the past two years, I have loved working at Sunshine, getting to know the children, their individual talents and needs, and watching their progress over the course of the term. I love researching the books and projects for my lessons and discussing new ideas with Agnieszka. Sunshine is a wonderfully refreshing and rewarding environment in which to work, and I have lots and lots of fun!

Monika Hajdu – assistant, with Sunshine since 2009

I came to London 10 years ago and started working as an au-pair. I then worked as a volunteer in a Special Needs school which led me into a career in teaching. Over the past 10 years I have attended several childcare training courses and I take a particular interest in the field of working with children with Autism. I have worked as an outreach worker, advising schools and parents on Autism.

I am very interested in psychology and studied A-Level psychology at Morley College, London. One day I would love to be a child psychologist. My other passion is holistic therapies and in my spare time I am a Reiki practitioner. I love working at Sunshine because the small groups allow me to give more individual attention to each of the children.
